What is Web 2.0 ?
Web 2.0 is a phrase you often hear bandied about by internet marketeers and the like. So, what exactly is web 2.0?
The explanation I find easiest to give is that web 2.0 refers to web based platforms that have been developed to make sharing information, communicating and working together easier.
Wikis, blogs, video-sharing websites, social networking sites and folksonomies are all types of web 2.0 applications.
Wikis - the best known is Wikipedia.
Blogs - like Blogger, Wordpress, LiveJournal
Video-sharing websites - like Youtube
Social Networking Sites - Facebook, Myspace.
Folksonomies - Delicious, Stumbleupon.
